Big Big Train Reveal New Song ‘Last Eleven’.

BIG BIG TRAIN ‘LAST ELEVEN’

THE FIRST NEW MATERIAL FEATURING VOCALIST ALBERTO BRAVIN
Big Big Train: The Journey Continues - Introducing Alberto Bravin
Big Big Train will be releasing a brand new track, LAST ELEVEN, as their first offering featuring their new lead vocalist, Alberto Bravin, following the tragic death of David Longdon in November last year.
LAST ELEVEN was written and recorded after David's passing. The band will be performing it alongside material from throughout their career at their dates in Southampton, Aylesbury and Zoetermeer in The Netherlands.
Written by Big Big Train founder Gregory Spawton, the track features a vocal arrangement originated by Alberto. LAST ELEVEN is a song of strength and positivity dealing with what it feels like to be an outsider, not one of the "cool kids”, and yet to forge ahead and find your own path in life.
Of the song, Gregory says, "When I was at school, I was definitely not one of the cool kids. At a time when everyone else seemed to be into playing rugby and listening to punk and new wave, I could be found playing Dungeons & Dragons and listening to rock music. This song is based on those memories of school days and is about doing your own thing, finding your own way and not worrying about what other people think.” Alberto Bravin also shares Greg’s sentiment "Last Eleven was the first Big Big Train song I worked on, and it immediately lit a spark in me. The lyrics hit deep inside.” Drummer Nick D’Virgilio "Greg sent me his initial, stripped-down demo and I was inspired immediately. The lyrics speak eloquently to what so many go through in life, Alberto's singing is beautiful, and the music is just cracking!!”

The song will feature on the band's next studio album, which is to be recorded in Italy in 2023. The video for the track was created by Steve Cadman.

For their shows in the UK and The Netherlands, Big Big Train will be Alberto Bravin, Nick D’Virgilio, Gregory Spawton, guitarist Rikard Sjöblom, guitarist Dave Foster, violinist/vocalist Clare Lindley, keyboardist Oskar Holldorff and the Big Big Train brass section, led by Dave Desmond. Holldorff leads the Norwegian band Dim Gray, whose debut album Flown was released to much acclaim last year. Unfortunately, keyboardist/vocalist Carly Bryant is unable to join the band for these dates for family reasons.
