If you like country music and musical theatre, but thought the two would never sit well together, an immersive new musical story called “THANK GOD FOR NASHVILLE” might just change your mind.
“THANK GOD FOR NASHVILLE” features a brand new original soundtrack and score and is set to be an exciting, melodic country rock musical for a new generation. A theatrical experience, all set in the Tennessee capital , Nashville known as “MUSIC CITY USA”.
The story follows a washed up iconic country rock star, Rick Westwood, and his lifelong love the country music chanteuse Bella Morgan. The two were once America’s sweethearts. They had the biggest hit in country music history, “Thank God For Nashville”. However, Rick subsequently went off the rails, through drink and drugs, while Bella became a mentor to the younger generation of singer-songwriters helping upcoming artists at her Nashville based club the Phoenix Rising. After a decade apart, the famous two are about to reunite in a very unexpected way.
Both have a devastating secret and quite a story to tell. Even after all the crazy showbiz years, the ups and downs, the fights, the lavish lifestyle and the subsequent mountain of debt, they still share one deep rooted constant passion. The one true thing that brought them together. A love of country music and Nashville where both their dreams once came true.

The world premiere of “THANK GOD FOR NASHVILLE” was hosted and narrated by BBC Radio 2 ‘s legendary country music producer and presenter Baylen Leonard recently at The Green Note, Camden Town, London.
Artists performing include Nashville’s Jason Herndon who is part of the Blake Shelton entourage, Charlotte Henry, T J Walker and Connie Jackson... all supported by the legendary Max Milligan on acoustic guitar.
The show is produced and directed by Steve McMellon of London and Nashville based Southern Crossroads Music and Stuart Brayson whose co-production with Sir Tim Rice of “From Here To Eternity” gets a West End launch in October 2022.
